Research Interests
I am on leave from UCSC in AY 2023-24. My primary affiliation is with Cornell University.
I will consider new graduate students at Cornell for the 23-24 admission cycle. For more information, see https://dmplab.cornell.edu/apply/.
My lab studies the development of morality from infancy to adulthood. Some of our work investigates early developments in orientations toward harmful and helpful behaviors. Other projects investigate complex moral reasoning and decisions about issues such as academic integrity and interpersonal harm. We are also conducting research on reasoning about religious practices among youth and adults. Our research combines naturalistic observations, behavioral experiments, and structured interviews.
