Summary of Expertise

I use mixed methods to study historically marginalized students' perceptions of and experiences in the university in order to foster more equitable spaces of learning. Most of my research consists of collaborations with various campus units, where I apply social psychological and educational theories to directly impact the students they serve.

Research Interests

cultural interventions in education, anti-deficit discourse, college transition, help-seeking, diversity framing, role models, STEM, educational equity, hidden curriculum, critical counter-stories
